Judge Jim Wynn, Senior Associate Judge on the North Carolina Court of Appeals, has over 17 years of judicial experience on the Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court and is running to retain his seat.
Judge Wynn is, among other things, the Commanding Officer of the Navy Reserve Judicial Unit, a Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserves, and the Chair of the American Bar Association’s Judicial Division. A leader on judicial independence issues, Judge Wynn worked for the enactment of the North Carolina Judicial Reform Act, which made North Carolina judicial elections non-partisan, and serves on the American Bar Association’s commission to evaluate the Model Code of Judicial Conduct.
